Artist's Description
Found this Black bear cub in the wild, foraging a field for late summer berries and tree mast, preparing for winter hibernation. The little yearling did not seem bothered by a small crowd of onlookers and continued feeding for a while before ambling across the meadow towards the forest. The curious bear probably heard the shutter or smelled me as I positioned myself (at a distance) behind some thickets, and decided to get a better look - standing up on it's hind legs.
