Just as this large grey timber wolf lifted it's head in a long drawn, melancholy howl, others from the pack joined in with a chorus. The call of the wild - as I like to call the wolf's song as it broke the silence in the still morning air.
The timber wolf or grey wolf or gray wolf (canis lupus) is large wild predator with a beautiful, thick fur coat, native to North America and Eurasia.
